And 8 of 10 respondents echo the above sentiments. Unfortunately, as a nation, we have allowed our mass apathy, ignorance, and subservience as citizens; and the oligarchic, tyrannic, and corruptive style of governance to persist and prosper all throughout the past years, regardless who sits in Malacanang. Our so-called ‘leaders’ have failed to look at not only the people problem, but likewise, the “system & mind model” problems that have in fact, cultured the deeply imbedded “graft & corruption” systems in our society, specifically in government. Just look at the mentality prevailing in choosing our sponsorships for weddings. Dapat ang ninong/ninang ay mga judges/military generals/police generals/senators/congressmen/rich & famous para “KUNG MAY GUSOT, MAY LUSOT.” Lahat dapat makuha sa “AREGLO.” Hence, corruption is in the thinking, reasoning, systems, and our way of life. Time to change. The correction begins with LEADERSHIP. Today, there is absence of leadership in the executive, legislative, judiciary, military, and sadly, even the church. But I think what is more probable is that there will be an unexpected explosion of rage and thus people power again if Gloria actually pushes those options. Bangit is not the whole AFP.
